Oct 22, 2010 The Camry SE V6 is a car in which the driver might want to actually use the sequential manual shift feature on Toyota's six-speed automatic, and we liked it. In manual mode, the transmission will hold the chosen gear without shifting up, and it will downshift immediately with a click on the lever.

problem #5Camry 2.5L
- Manual transmission
- 94,000 miles
I bought my 2011 Toyota Camry brand new. I already put on car complaints just adding to my issue. I am now on my third transmission no thanks to Toyota. If I hadn't had a loan on this car i would have had this car crushed for good. Just letting everyone know Toyota doesn't have your back. Buy another brand. My mileage is now 115000. I hope this will be the last transmission i have to replace in this car due to their trash parts they are buying.

The transmission started shifting roughly and slipping. Next thing you know the trans doesn't shift and stays in 1 gear and apparently the whole fluid leaked out of the transfer case I think, and now I need a new trans.

Took Camry in with noise after the clutch let off and was told the transmission has serious problems. They are to tear it down or put in used transmission. It. was $1000 less to tear it down and diagnose. I was told it was broken internal seals. I called Toyota to report this problem in a 2011 car and so disappointed in the multiple repairs that have had to be done on this car. They would offer no assistance or help with this car. I am a brand loyalty 5 car Toyota owner and this did not set well with me.

My light came on and I had 10 minutes to get it to the dealer. First I was told it was the computer system and it would be $1200.00 to fix. On Monday it became the transmission and it would cost $5000.00 to fix. The car was purchased new and had not gone out of the 60,000 mile power train warranty. The local dealer mechanic and technician said it was not covered and I would have to pay for it all. The battery was leaking into the transmission since i purchased the car and that was the problem and they were the ones who serviced the vehicle for the 4 years and 11 months I had the car and they should have caught that issue. They seem to be all the scam and get over business and I will say this 'do not believe the hype' about a 'brand'. None are better than the other. This is proof.

MY 2011 camry 8000 miles..Transmission went out!!!!! At first the car did not want to go into reverse..next day I was driving at appr 35-40 miles per hour and it was just as though you had put it in neutral ,RPMS jumped up, car was still running but would not move, had traffic behind me which was real scary as the car behind me almost hit me. I waved the traffic on around, put car in park and then back into drive. I drove another mile to mile and a half and it did the same thing. I then took the car into the dealership..they kept it all afternoon testing it. One of the mechanics drove it on the interstate and almost got hit by a big truck doing the same thing. Transmission is out.. NO a happy person right now. My purpose of buying a new car was to not worry about car problems and breaking down. WIll I ever feel safe in this car? NO!!!!

Manual Transmission problem of the 2007 Toyota Camry 1
I own a 2007 Toyota Camry with a manual transmission and when only had around 500 miles on the vehicle the clutch started sticking and the dealer tried to act as if I didn't know what I was talking about until they tested it and it happened to them. A new clutch was then put in and I didn't have any problems until now. I now have 31000 miles on the vehicle and today as I was leaving out of the parking space at work the clutch stuck and I had to put the car in neutral and apply the emergency brake and wait until the clutch popped up. I was then able to drive home without any problems but 1 st thing on Monday I will have it at the dealer. What I want to know is, have any similar problems been reported? if not then mine is the first and this should be checked into.

Manual Transmission problem of the 2007 Toyota Camry 2
Toyota Camry ce manual transmission. When car is in first gear driving about 10-15mph and pedal is released car accelerates on its own then, even after pedal is released, then when brake is applied the car jerks back and fourth. This mostly occurs when car is first turned on. Dealership says, and I quote 'it is normal and makes me feel like I don't know how to drive a stick shift' due to the jerking.

Manual Transmission problem of the 2007 Toyota Camry 4
I have a 2007 4cyl Toyota Camry and on occasion it will hesitate when accelerating. Generally occurs only when moving at very slow rate of speed and accelerate to pull quickly into traffic. Have returned to dealer at least 3 times. They say it is 'normal' and can not get it to happen so cannot fix. They have applied TSB but did not seem to correct. Quit asking for repair but now see issues with sticking accelerator and wonder if this is another Toyota cover up!!.
Manual Transmission problem of the 2007 Toyota Camry 5
I own a 2007 Camry and it has a terrible hesitation with the engine that stalls alot especially pulling on interstates with fast moving traffic. It also has the same issues with normal driving in town. This is a huge issue and I do not feel safe driving this vehicle that I am paying a good bit of money for. I feel I can't sell it knowing it has a problem and the trade in value is terrible. Toyota needs to recall all these cars and fix the issue or give the consumers there money back.
Manual Transmission problem of the 2006 Toyota Camry 6
My 2006 Toyota Camry se is experiencing throttle & shift lag. I've tried merging into traffic only to have my vehicle not respond. The crazy revving from the vehicle not shifting correctly is also causing a substantial decrease in fuel economy (from 24 mpg to 18 mpg). Toyota has no fix at this time.

Manual Transmission problem of the 2004 Toyota Camry 8
My 2004 Camry, v6 has had a hesitation since I first purchased it. The hesitation happens after stopping a signs or when trying to accelerate to merge into traffic. Twice I have taken it to the dealer and was told it was something with the brain that sends information from throttle sensor to the transmission. The service tech stated that it was just the v6's and the 2004 cars that have this problem, until more people complain no repairs or recalls will be made.
