Custom stickers do not require modifying any of your install game files.
Just follow this guide:
**Important Note Before doing anything.. Make a Backup of your Eden games folder (in My documents) as this contains your savegames etc and then you can always restore things to how they were if required. It is generally advisable to backup this folder at least once per week anyway from experience of how buggy the game can be
**Note for Steam users: You need a non steam version of TDU2 for easiest results and to avoid any potential Steam VAC bans or issues (no evidence of this yet). Maybe use a friends disc, install it fresh and use your genuine TDU2 serial. (You can find this on the TDU2 page in Steam). Don't use any cracks or patches with a torrent version. just the pure install is fine with your serial and you will have a totally legit, non hacked/cracked standalone version of the game rather than needing to use steam. You can of course still launch the game as a 'non steam game' and access the steam chat overlay etc.
**Note that when I mention 'UpLauncher.exe' it is not the same thing as 'TDU2 Light Launcher.exe'

**light launcher has now been updated to Universal launcher v3.2 and you can obtain it HERE+Note Universal launcher is NOT the same as Uplauncher.exe (more info a few posts down)
Initial Setup Required:
Copy the TDU2 Universal Launcher to your game install folder ( the same one as your testdrive2.exe)
The texmod folder can be put anywhere, i keep mine in the TDU2 install folder for neatness.
First we need to set-up Universal launcher to work with texmod and the game. So load Universal launcher, click on Tools/Settings.. Add the locations of the Testdrive2.exe and the Texmod.exe in the 2 relevant boxes, click save, then close that window
OK we are now ready to work with stickers..
PLEASE NOTE.. All sticker and skin importing MUST be done OFFLINE..you will get a server error if you try doing it online.
1. If universal launcher is not already open, open it now.
2. Click OFFLINE, then click the check box that says TEXMOD. That will make the 'run game' button change to 'Creat Mutex' Click that button, then finally click the Launch Texmod button.
3. Now texmod is open. Click the big folder in the corner and select the Testdrived2.exe. Now click on the Logging Mode tab.
4. Choose PNG for the output format, leave the other stuff as it is.
5. Hopefully the output folder is already setup for you (an 'out' folder within your texmod folder). If not just select/make a new folder in your texmod folder to store images.
6. Now click the Run button.
7. TDU2 will start up as normal but you will see some red text up top (YAY!). This gives some basic instructions on how to use texmod but don't worry about that yet.
8. Once in game go to the stickershop and find a page with images rather than shapes. (I use the page with the 'Outlaw' sticker on it)
9. You can now use the numberpad + or - keys to view the current textures held in memory. You should use the - key first to access the stickershop images as they were loaded last.
10. When you scroll through the images you will see information about them at the top of the screen. The main thing here is size. Most of the images on that page are 512x512 pixels which is a good size. There is also a large 2048x2048 image there too which can be useful for a large sticker!)
11. You can select lots of images to create multiple stickers but to make things simple lets just grab one image. so using the + and - keys, find a 512x512 image and then press 'enter' on the numberpad. Now texmod has saved this image to your 'out' folder in your texmod folder.
12. Close TDU2
13. In photoshop or whatever application you use make a new image 512x512 (you can of course use a transparent background if you wish) and create your sticker. from photos or your own design etc.
14. Save the image as a PNG in your 'out' folder and remember to export with transparency if required. Give the image a useful name so you know what it is.
15. Now you need to replace the image that texmod exported from TDU2. Easiest way to do this is to save the PNG again from within photoshop but this time overwrite the image that texmod saved. (These images will have a name that consist of numbers and letters. It's vital that you overwrite it so you have exactly the same name as texmod saved it with)
16. Now close photoshop etc and go back to texmod. Now click the Package Build button. You need to select the TexMod.log file for the definition file. (Texmod will have created this for you in the 'out folder' when you grabbed the texture from the stickershop).
17. click 'Build' and save it as 'mystickers.tpf' ( or any name you wan really). Make sure you are saving it in the texmod folder (not the out folder)
18. Now click on 'Package Mode' and use the folder to browse to your 'mystickers.tpf' then click/highlight the 'mystickers' package on the left. ( you should see any comments you added on the package page, appear in the panel on the right)
19. While still on the package mode tab, click Run on texmod again. This time you will not see any red text but when the game loads up and you go to the stickershop you will be able to find your new custom sticker and place it on your car!
20. Finish sticking.. pay and exit the stickershop. Now if you want you can take another car into the shop and stick again etc. Now close TDU2. Close Texmod and switch back to the Universal launcher.
21. Uncheck the box that says 'texmod' next to it, this should grey out the 'launch texmod' button and changed the 'Create Mutex' button back to 'Run Game'. Click the Online Button, now click the Run Game button.
22. Now you will get into a normal game session. no hacks. or funny business. just normal game but your car will have the custom sticker on it.
23. Post a screenshot of your masterpiece in the showroom thread .
